With most Android phones, you can use an On-The-Go adapter to be able to plug in a computer mouse to the device. Once the mouse is attached, you can use the mouse pointer to back up your photos to Google Drive or similar.

Based on how the design of this laptop looks, I would agree with what the service manual says.

As these are Apple devices, compactivity between parts is likely a no go. That is just a complete guess however based off of what I know about how Apple tends to build their devices. When I have repaired screens on Macs in the past, I have ordered the full screen assembly as I have been told that replacing just the panel is not an easy task. I have never personally tried to replace just the panel. eBay may be a good place to look if you want to find a full screen assembly.

Whenever I need to do any repairs on laptops, I start by going to the manufactures website and look for the support section. I then enter the serial number so I can confirm the model of the device. Once you have this information, you can look for a service manual for the device. A lot of manufactures have these on their website. This should help you with replacing the keyboard and will likely list the part number of the keyboard. If I need to replace keyboards on computers, I typically will get a replacement keyboard from eBay.

The first question I would have is if there have been any previous repairs done to the device. The battery is on the opposite side of the rear camera. I'm assuming that is what you meant. In my experience, I have seen expanding batteries push up on the screen and start to separate them from the assembly but it's usually on the same side and in the area the battery is in. I have seen phones that have been dropped have a screen that will sometimes pop out of the frame slightly. As for the ghosting, this could be related to many problems however, an expanding battery pushing on the back of the display could cause this. I would likely open the device to confirm or deny if the battery is expanding. If it is, I would try replacing it and see if that corrects the issues. If the battery is not expanded, there are likely other electrical faults with the device.

If it’s been sitting around for a long time, the battery was probably dead. More than likely, it needs a new battery but honestly, these devices are not fun to work on. They don’t come apart like iPhones.

As others have said, I don’t recommend trying to do just the glass. I worked in a repair shop for 2 years and we always used full assemblies because in the long run, it’s more cost effective. From my understanding, you have to have very specialized equipment and it takes some skill. If I’m being honest, it’s likely you would damage the LCD panel trying to separate the old glass from it. It doesn’t take much to damage an LCD. This would make it useless and then you would have to purchase an entire assembly at that point. As I’ve never done it before, I can’t say for sure, but I think gluing the new glass on can be quite tricky. I would compare it to putting on a screen protector but with much more permanent results. TLDR, just spend the money to get a full assembly and call it good.

It is possible that some of the connectors are not plugged in fully. Even if they are off by just a little bit this could cause this kind of behavior. Check your connections and also check the flex cables for damage. If you did not remove the screen there is a higher likelihood of a damaged flex cable. To troubleshoot the battery, you could try reconnecting the original battery in the device and see if you still have the same problem. If that’s the case then there may be damage to a component or the logic board. If replacing the original battery solves the problem then I would get a replacement battery.

Was everything working fine before you attempted to blow things out or was the same thing happening? It could be that you attempt to blow things out actually may have made the problem worse. I would try using a toothpick and toothbrush to clean out the holes manually. If this does not fix the problem, you may need to replace the charge port.
