Does your Shark ION Robot R75 vacuum display error light indicators? Is the “!” indicator light displayed or flashing on your vacuum? Shark ION Robot R75 vacuums are susceptible to a range of problems that could cause them to display a variety of error lights. Check the following list of error light indicators for possible causes and solutions.

All LED Lights are Off

If no lights are showing, this indicates that the robot is turned off or that the vacuum’s battery may need charging. To fix this error, press the power switch. If none of the vacuum’s lights turn on, place the robot on the charging dock and allow it to charge for at least two hours before trying to use it again.

Red “REPLACE” LED Light Is On

If the vacuum’s “REPLACE” LED displays a solid red color, the device’s battery needs to be replaced. Use the Shark ION Robot R75 Battery Replacement Guide to replace the vacuum’s battery.

“DOCK” and “SPOT” Alternate Flashing

If the “DOCK” and “SPOT” lights alternate flashing, something is stuck in the vacuum’s main brush roll. Check the vacuum’s main brush for built-up debris. If you find a build-up of hair or debris in the main brush, remove the end cap of the main brush and clear it of any hair or debris. Use a damp microfiber cloth to clean out dirt or hair built-up on the brush, cap, and cleaning bristles. If the main brush appears damaged or significantly worn out, consider replacing the brush with the Shark ION Robot R75 Main Brush Replacement Guide.

“CLEAN” Flashing Blue

If the vacuum’s “CLEAN” light is flashing blue, the front wheel sensor, drop sensor, or bumper is reporting an error. Move the robot to a new location on a level surface to make sure it is able to move freely. Make sure that the vacuum’s front bumper is not stuck on an obstacle. If the “CLEAN” light continues to flash blue, remove the robot’s front wheel and clean out the wheel cavity.

“SPOT” Flashing Blue

If the vacuum’s “SPOT” light is flashing blue, the robot cannot move due to the surface or an obstruction. Simply move the robot to a new location to solve this problem.

“CLEAN” Flashing Red

If the “CLEAN” light is flashing red, it means that the robot may be stuck on an obstacle or the front bumper may be jammed. With this problem, the robot cannot start due to some error. To fix this error, relocate the robot to a different location and inspect the bumper. Wipe off the cliff sensors with a clean cloth. If the light continues to flash, try to remove the front caster wheel and clean the wheel housing.

“!” Symbol Flashing

If the “!” symbol is flashing, it indicates that the suction motor has failed. To fix this error, remove any blockage and clean the filters. Also, remove the dust bin and check that there is no obstruction that would otherwise prevent suction.

“CLEAN” Flashing Red and “!” Stays Solid Red

If the “CLEAN” button is flashing red and the “!” symbol stays solid red, your vacuum’s charger is experiencing an issue. Try using a new charger to solve this problem. Plug in the vacuum with a new charger and allow the device to charge for at least two hours. Then, try to use the vacuum again.

“!” and “CLEAN” Symbols Flashing

If your robot’s “!” and “CLEAN” symbols are both flashing, your robot’s BotBoundary sensors are reporting an error. Use the Shark ION Robot R75 Side Sensor Replacement Guide to replace the vacuum’s faulty sensors.

“CLEAN” Solid Red

If your robot’s “CLEAN” button is solid red, the vacuum’s dust bin has been removed and needs to be reinserted.

“CLEAN” Solid Blue

If your robot’s “CLEAN” button is solid blue, the robot is in sleep mode. Press any button on the robot or the remote to start it again.
