Hello, my name is Emmett and I am an engineering student at Cuesta College. I am participating in the iFixit Technical Writing program. I have aspirations of attending Cal Poly for Materials Engineering and helping the world with sustainability.


I'm passionate about fixing things, especially bikes. Over the years, I've built up hands-on experience with cars, bikes, most Apple products, and a range of other electronics. I'm always eager to learn new repair skills to help keep items out of the landfill. Outside of work, you can find me rock climbing, practicing yoga, or on my mountain bike.


This project relates to me as I have an interest in brushless dc motors. More specifically learning more about field oriented control and electronic speed controls.
