Unable To Connect To WIFI

Vacuum won't establish a wireless connection.

Wi-Fi not broadcasting properly.

Ensure Wi-Fi router is broadcasting 2 .4Ghz (not 5Ghz). See this link for instructions on switching broadcast output.

Device Repeatedly Dying/ Not Charging

No matter how long the device stays in the charging dock, it only runs for a few minutes or not at all before dying again.

Faulty Power Connection

Check that the dock is plugged in and that there are no cuts or obvious damage on the power cord. Make sure that the outlet the dock is plugged into is operational.

Obstruction to Charging Dock

Look on both the device and charging dock for any debris or objects blocking the device from docking properly.

Battery may not be Functional

If you are sure that both the charging dock and outlet are functional, then most likely the battery has stopped taking a charge or has been damaged. You may want to visit our replacement guide!

Vacuum Not Moving

Vacuum isn't moving along the designated cleaning area well, or at all.

Faulty "Stuck" Data

The vacuum may have a data issue that can be resolved with a reset. Hold the start button for 10 seconds or until the vacuum beeps and set it back up again through the Hoover App. Find your device on the Hoover App and continue the in-app setup. If that doesn't work, locate the ON/OFF Switch by opening the top of the vacuum and turn the vacuum off and then on.

Dirty Wheels

Roll your hand over the wheel to make sure it's not completely stuck and take out anything you find.

Loose Wheels

Make sure that all of the vacuum's wheels are properly attached to the device's base. If a wheel has gotten loose, firmly press the wheel into the vacuum.

Faulty Wheels

The vacuum wheels could be too old so you may need to replace them after nine or ten months. The wheels have a very short life span and the older they are the more likely that they have been damaged. Visit our our replacement guide.

Vacuum Stuck in Corners and/ or Fails to Navigate Room Properly

The device is consistently getting stuck in corners, unable to move, and/or moves around at random.

Dirty Sensors

The Camera Sensor could be covered in debris. Ensure that you clean the affected sensor (on the outside of the device) with a clean rag and some isopropyl alcohol or electronic cleaner. If the outside is fine, look inside of the device to see if there’s any dirt or corrosion that could be causing the issue. If there is any dirt, blow it out with some pressurized air. Do not use a vacuum to suck up the debris as it can cause components to loosen or get lost. If there is some corrosion, you may be able to take a cotton swap with some isopropyl alcohol to scrub away the affected area.

Vacuum Not Connected to Wi-Fi

The device can’t fully map the area it’s trying to vacuum if it’s not connected to the internet. Check the internet Wi-Fi is on.

Outdated or Faulty Software/Firmware

The device could have an outdated or buggy software/firmware installed. Restart your device. If the issue isn’t fixed, then connect your device to the Wi-Fi. On the applicable device application on your smartphone (Hoover App) ensure that your device is updated to its most current software/firmware version.

Faulty Sensors

Either the Camera Sensor or the Bumper Sensor could be malfunctioning. A faulty camera sensor could cause the device to go "blind" unable to traverse the surrounding area. A faulty bumper sensor could cause the device to be unaware when it's bumping into things. Look inside the device to find either of the sensors and inspect it for dirt and corrosion. Vacuum not picking up debris

Vacuum seems to be moving properly but is not collecting any dirt or dust off the ground.

Full Dust Bin

The device’s dust bin could be full and needs to be emptied. Locate the device’s dust bin and fully empty it out. Then reattached the dust bin to the vacuum. To locate and replace the dust bin, visit our replacement guide.

Dirty Brushes and/or Suction

The device’s brushes and/or suction area may be tangled or blocked. Ensure that the device’s brushes are clean of debris or entanglements that could stop the brushes from rotating. Ensure the suction area is clean of debris that may be blocking the flow of suction.

Faulty Suction Motor

The Suction Motor could be malfunctioning. A faulty suction motor could be causing the device to be unable to suck the debris off the floor. Look inside the device to ensure any dirt or corrosion is removed from around the Suction Motor.

Faulty Wall Brush Motor

The Brush Motor could be malfunctioning. A faulty brush motor could be causing the brushes to malfunction, unable to push dirt to the suction area. Look inside the device to ensure any dirt or corrosion is removed from around the Brush Motor. If the area looks clean visit our replacement guide.

Faulty Dirt Cup Sensor

The Dirt Cup Sensor could be malfunctioning. A faulty dirt cup sensor could cause an error that makes the device believe that its dust bin is full. Look inside the device to ensure any dirt or corrosion is removed from around the Dirt Cup Sensor.
