If you Eureka SuctionSeal Pet vacuum is plugged in and powered on but the brush roller does not spin, follow this troubleshooting guide.
Brush Roller Drive Belt is Damaged
The drive belt is responsible for transferring power from the drive motor to the brush roller
- During normal use the drive belt can become stretched, damaged, or misaligned causing the brush roller to no longer receive power from the drive motor.
- To examine drive belt follow the steps in this guide to gain access to the brush roller belt, also known as the S Belt.
- If the belt has become misaligned from the brush roller then realign by hand.
- If the belt has become stretched or broken refer to this guide to replace the drive belt with a new one to resolve the issue
Brush Roller is obstructed
During normal use of the vacuum the brush roller can become clogged with hair, carpet fibers, and other objects from the floor.
- Activate vacuum head release handle to lower vacuum head and lay vacuum down for easy access.
- If the brush head appears to be clogged, use scissors or a sharp tool such as a box cutter to carefully cut away debris and remove by hand.
- If the brush roller appears to be damaged, remove and replace the brush roller with a new one.
Drive motor is burned out
Long term or frequent use can cause the drive motor to become damaged or seized.
- Remove the cover from the head of the vacuum and remove the drive belt from the motor.
- If the brush roller is able to spin freely independent of the motor the motor may be seized internally. If this is the case a a new motor can be installed and the belt reattached to resolve the issue.
