Tablet will not turn on
No matter what you do, you can't get your tablet to turn on.
Battery is dead
Your tablet will not turn on because your battery is dead. Charge the battery of your tablet by using a micro USB cable. Plug one end of the cable to the appropriate port located at the top of your tablet and plug in the other end to a computer or outlet converter that is plugged into a working outlet in the wall.
Battery will not charge
Your tablet will not turn on because your battery will not charge and is dead. In this case, you must replace the battery. Once you have your new battery, please follow this guide to install it correctly: Asus MeMO Pad HD 7 Battery Replacement
Nothing showing on the screen
It is possible that it appears nothing is happening because the display is in need of repair or replacement. If replacing the battery fails to fix the tablet not turning on then you may need to replace the display screen.
Motherboard is malfunctioning or damaged
If both the battery and display are working than you need to replace the motherboard. This is usually the last resort so start with the guides above. If they do not work then replace the motherboard using this guide: Asus MeMO Pad HD 7 Motherboard Replacement
Camera will not operate
No pictures are produced from the camera.
Camera lens is damaged/cracked
If pictures are blurry or do not come out clear it is possible your camera lens is cracked or damaged. Turn the device to have the screen facing down. Check the lens to see if it is visibly damaged/cracked. If it is use this guide to replace it: Asus MeMO Pad HD 7 Front Facing Camera Replacement
Camera will not take pictures/screen is black
If your camera will not take pictures you can check to make sure the camera app on the device is working. If not you can download additional camera apps from the Google Play Store for Android. Also make sure that the lens is free from all obstructions. Clean dirt and screen using a microfiber cloth if necessary. Buttons are sticky
Buttons don't respond or get stuck.
Buttons are dirty
If the buttons are sticky it can be caused by dirt getting underneath them. Try cleaning around the buttons with a cotton ball and some cleaning solution to remove the dirt.
Buttons have something stuck underneath them
If something is stuck underneath your buttons you will need to remove the back panel. You will then be able to clean anything underneath the buttons. If they are still unresponsive you will need to replace.
Touchscreen is cracked
Screen is cracked or damaged.
Touchscreen is still responsive
If the touchscreen is still responsive then you only need to replace the outer glass.
Touchscreen is unresponsive to touch
If the touchscreen is unresponsive to touch then you will also need to replace the digitizer.
Digitizer is unresponsive
Screen still works but does nothing when you touch it.
Restart The Device
If turning off the power and restarting the device does not fix the issue then you will need to replace the digitizer.
Screen is too dark
The screen is dim or hard to see.
Brightness is too low
Refer to the user manual of your device to determine how to adjust the brightness. If the screen is still dim then you will need to replace the back lighting.

In regards to the digitizer not working. I had this problem earlier today. When I removed the back cover, the cable was disconnected. The cable for the digitizer is on the left and has two connectors that plug in. The cables do have a locking socket (there is a white-ish tab that has to be lifted before inserting or removing the cable).

My MemoPad HD7 has a cracked outer screen. I would like to replace this but I do not see a manual nor the part. Does anybody know where to buy and how to do this?

My Asus MeMo Pad HD7 won't get past the startup screen. It turns on then just won't load any further than the revolvig circles. It does this until the battery runs flat, and then when charged it does it again. I've tried resetting but nothing will work.

my tablet has recently got a speaking lady when I touch an application she just names it. Besides the apps are very hard to open and I have to touch the screen several times. First three is a yellow box around the app which has been touched several times and then it opens with the other several touches. The screen does not move if tried by a single finger and I have to use two fingers together to scroll up or down on the screen. Does anybody know the reason. thanks in advance :-)

Hi,
my tablet is dead. Should there be anything visible on the screen when it's connected to a charger or it can be completely black? I mean how to tell dead battery from other issue?

I was just using my device about an hour ago. It was not running low on battery when I stopped using it but I wonder why it would not turn on when I wanted to use it again. The screen remains black and nothing. I wanted to open to see if the battery pack could be removed, as a way of restarting the device but I could not. I plugged it on using a usb charger hoping that it is the battery that went dead and not the motherboard gone wrong. So far, it's been close to 15 minutes but still no sign of battery charging. :( Would appreciate your help. Thanks

Bought this Asus for my wife for a gift, it will not turn on , try on plug-ins the battery cable. As recommend no luck
