Hey there! I'm Lauryn, a graduate student at Portland State University studying Technical and Professional Writing and Communication. My interests lie in UX/UI, technical editing, education and instructional design, and knowledge management. I'd like to be a technical editor, UX designer and researcher, or find a way to merge the two together as long as I can make positive change.

I currently work at Intel as a technical writing intern and have developed and documented the best-known method/practice for one team's internal support documentation. I've trained others on this method and have now become the team's SSD (System-Solution Documentation) expert. I also led and carried out the full redesign of the site premiumpianofinder.com. Previously, I have worked in early childhood education which has been valuable when approaching empathy, clarity, and accessibility within writing and editing.

In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my cat, Ferris (who goes by Bug), hanging out with friends (both in real life and on Discord), playing FFXIV, and watching Ghibli films and other animated shows and movies. I also enjoy candles, ceramics, listening to and exploring different types of music, and cooking/baking vegan food.
