Dell XPS 17 9720

The Dell XPS 17, identified by model Dell XPS 17 9720, was the premium addition to Dell’s laptop lineup in 2022. Its aluminum body and carbon fiber accents provide durability while the 17-inch display is built to handle various tasks. The body comes with built in HDMI and SD card ports. Although this is Dell’s premium laptop offering, users should be aware of potential issues with overheating. Due to the slim design, there is potential for overheating if the workflow is too heavy. In other cases, users have reported issues in screen resolution and a problem with the screen displaying red improperly. There are no current recalls on the device, but Dell does offer technical support if any issues arise.

The Dell XPS 17 9720 has a sleek and modern aluminum body while still sporting a 17 inch display. This version separates itself from other models by having the XPS logo on the lid and a unique air vent on the underside of the laptop. The model number is located on the bottom of the laptop, near the regulatory information and serial number. The laptop comes in one color combination that is a silver platinum exterior with a black interior and keyboard. Other variations offered are the 13 and 15 inch models.
