How would I fix my charging port?
Pins in my charging point have came off and bent in all sorts of ways. How would I repair it?

You would have to replace the charging port connector on the logic board.
Here's the ifixit iPod Touch 3rd Generation Logic Board Replacement guide that shows how to remove the logic board from the case so that the charging port connector can be replaced.
Here's a video that shows how to replace it.
Search online for iPod Touch 3G charging dock port (example only) to find suppliers that suit you best.
