My Delonghi EC260 is leaking water from under the water tank

Hi, my espresso machine is suddenly leaking water from the base, underneath the water tank. I descaled it & that didn’t help. There are no cracks in the tank and the seal looks good. But I have noticed that the plug inside gets pushed up…water going out…when I put it in the machine. I think it’s only supposed to do that when it’s running but don’t really know. I have to put towels down when I use it now, so water doesn’t go all over the counter. Help!

After some time these seals become hard and don't fit anymore. My first idea is

to replace the seal.

Do you mean the silicone seal underneath the tank?

Actually, it looks like there is a crack in the base. Where the tank inserts, I just found a crack. The water is seeping out through there.

Hopefully you can fill it with a suitable material

It’s still under warranty, so I am taking it to the repair shop here. Thanks Y’all for your help!

hi, mine is doing the same. it goes through the full cycle as if its going to make the coffee, but no coffee even dispenses, all the water is under the machine. this was brand new out of the box. the plug inside the water reserve does pop up when placed on the back of the machine, but the water does not start to leak out until after I choose the cup size. Sorry, mine is the Lor Barista.
