The trick is the WD-40 spray. It's a spray that can be bought at any hardware store worldwide. It's world famous. Just spray a little bit in the side of the mouse where the scroller uses a small wheel which is attached to the circuit.
I found many answers saying to use WD-40… at first I was very apprehensive, but it worked like magic.
Spray it, leave it upside down for 10 minutes and then test the scroll with an open top before closing it permanently. Amazing liquid.

could you guide us on where exactly we should spray the WD40 im a little confused
You don't spray directly onto the area. You spray into the cup (cover of the bottle), as shown in the video and use a stick to apply on the motor or the sensor.
Just see the video. You will understand
From what I understand, we need to open up the mouse and clean the scroll. But the biggest issue is opening it up. Its super hard. There are 3 clips in the battery compartment. I have bleeding fingers trying to open it. No success. Maybe I need to buy an iFixit kit.

It wasn't that hard to open the top cover. Just loosened the three clips using the below instructions:
Apertura de la carcasa externa del ratón inalámbrico Logitech M170
And then cleaned the scroll. It's working perfect now.
