What glue did you use? It sounds like a piece of plastic holding the jack in place has got broken. You may find that 2-part epoxy resin will be more successful as yo can use the not only to stick with, but also to fill a void left by the broken plastic. But you'll have to reassemble the case before the epoxy goes rock solid as you may have to shave off any excess.
