Ashten, you did not tell us what you've tried thus far to fix it. First you might want to try a hard reset, check on here for information on that. Start off by using an AC adapter to try to charge it. Make sure that you have a known working cable. Check your dock connector for any debris, broken or bend pins. Clean it with isopropyl alcohol. If that does not work, you could try to disassemble your iPod, check the battery. Replace it since it must be coming to the end of it's lifetime. Hope this helps, good luck.
