Same problem here, i replaced the battery but it did not fix the issue : i have the same blinking red LED. :(

It is strange i can pair my controller with the PC, but immediately after the pairing is done, the LED goes red blinking, and the controller is disconnected. It does not seem to be a battery issue. I contact HTC support, i will let you know if they provide a solution
