The laptop you got has a repairability score of 7/10. This falls right in between the SE 2020 (6/10) and Mac Mini 2012 (8/10). Just take it slow and careful and you should be just fine. Looking at this guide that seems relevant to your question and my past experiences with devices similar to the ones you mention, it shouldn't be an issue of difficulty for you. Best of luck with your project and enjoy your new device!
Leer másAfter comparing the photo you attached with photos from our teardown for this device, I don't think you'll have any issues with that. It looks to me like the issue is caused by a different shape in the fact that you have to use an adaptor to fit a standard-sized SSD where the old big-disc hard drive went. Worst-case, I would just use some basic electrical tape to secure the wires similarly to how they were before you replaced the drive.
Leer másThe best idea I can think of for this is that the ribbon cable attaching the display to the motherboard is either not fully plugged in or damaged in some way. The first thing I would do in this situation would be to take the device far enough apart to verify the connection from the display to the motherboard.
Leer másIt looks like the display is either damaged or the connection could be faulty. I might try reconnecting the screen, connecting another battery, or connecting another screen before replacing the screen. However, if the screen is in fact damaged, the only way to do away with the lines would be to replace it.
Leer másYes, your laptop screen has a terminal case of ICSVID. I would recommend you quarantine the device and keep it away from other laptops to help slow the spread of ICSVID to your other devices. (In all seriousness, you’re right, you are going to need to replace the LCD to get that laptop back to life.)
Leer másAs long as it’s still fully functional, I wouldn’t be too worried about that scratch. Apple has never claimed that their devices are waterproof, and suggests the use of the “water lock” feature when doing things that will get your watch wet. As it comes to repair, it’s going to be extremely difficult to replace that. If you take it to Apple, they will probably try to sell you a new device. As long as you’re not too worried about the scratch causing water damage, it shouldn’t be too big of a deal.
Leer másThe Force Touch Sensor is the only form of waterproofing that an Apple Watch has, making it important to replace during a repair. However, it should not be causing the type of error that you describe. That type of error is probably caused by the charging troubles or some kind of error within WatchOS itself. Here is a support guide from Apple that should help resolve that issue: Link. It should help to have the owner of the watch use their iCloud-linked devices to get through that. Here is a link where you can buy the Force Touch Sensor: Link.
Leer másI would recommend using a battery rated as compatible for a 7+ for testing and diagnostics as it would best represent the end result use-case. Still, it should work to power up an iPhone 7+ with a battery from a 7. They use the same connectors on the battery and motherboard. However, a problem may arise from the (edit: very slight, 0.02V) difference in voltage between the batteries used by the devices and could cause damage to the device and battery, and I would not recommend going the route you are suggesting.
