Thank you for this detailed guide. Fixed mine. The plastic opening tool broke while prying up the battery. I reshaped it with a utility knife and it worked. I laid out all screws/small parts on a paper duct tape. It took me 1.5 hours to disassemble and 3 hours to reassemble. There were a couple of challenges in the reassembly. First, the home button rubber, speaker mesh and camera clear ring had to be replaced from old screen to the new one. The double sided tapes were to be replaced due to the tiny broken glasses. My home button doesn’t work well after the repair. The new double sided tape probably wasn’t put precisely. Second, the corner screw by the headphone jack was really difficult to screw on. I had to take out the headpboe jack. Third, the new screen doesn’t work well. When pressing the right bottom corner on screen, a brighter spot appears at the middle of the screen. Overall, I’m happy with this repair. Many thanks to the author of this guide and of the “headphone jack cable” guide.
