As stated in the comments, would be helpful to know the make, model or type of vacuum cleaner. One that uses a disposable bag or one that has a see through canister that you empty out when full. Also when did this problem start, after a dirt disposal operation, bag or filter change or change of attachment, pipe, nozzle etc.? More information needed.
