PSP detects select and analog when not pressed

As the title says, the console detects that the select is being pressed and the analog moves down without being connected. The console only turns on if the select is held down, just like the rest of the buttons only work if the select is held down. It also happens, that if I release the select, the console stays on hold. Sometimes when I press a button and release the select, the button stays pressed. I have replaced the flex with a new one but the problem remains and even if the flex is not connected the console still detects it.

Solución Elegida

As I specified in the comment of the other answer, what has partially solved the error and has allowed me to use the buttons without the select has been to clean the motherboard of the embedded dust that was on the back.

Although I can use the console, it still detects that the button is still pressed, it may be because I have only cleaned it without isopropyl alcohol and just gently brushing the board.

I leave the link where I found the answer, in case someone has a similar problem with other buttons, since it does not necessarily have to be in the same buttons.

Lastly to keep in mind, it is likely that if after cleaning with isopropyl alcohol the problem persists, it may be due to a short in the plate. For my part I can't check that as I don't have the tools or the knowledge to see where it may occur.

Hi!

This is a strange issue! I recommend to replace the “start, select button bar with cable”.

This should fix it.

Please try this first, and please let us know how it goes!

I did the replacement, but unfortunately it didn't work. I have read that it could be some dust on the motherboard probably shorting out. By and by I didn't see anything from the front, but from the back it had a little dust accumulated in one particular area. Now the console turns on without pressing select, but when I enter to modify the name it still detects that the button is pressed. Due to testing, I installed the official firmware, so I have to redo a custom firmware installation and run the key tester. I will do an update later.
