My iPhone 5 screen has been frozen for like 2 days. It won't let me slide to unlock. I tried resetting it, and it still doesn't work. Please help!

Did you try a hard reset by holding the power and home button together for 7 seconds, then let go of the home button and continue holding the power button? This will restart the iPhone.
Was it dropped prior to this?

Had my IPhone5 for 11months and suddenly froze today - could not 'slide to unlock'. However, i could 'slide to answer'.
Did a Google search on the problem and this site was the 1st that i clicked on.
So took your advice and 'Bingo' :)

dismantle it and clean touch ic with ipa reheat with hot air station if not luck after replace logic board

If you dropped your phone or if you or someone else replaced the screen or something dealing with opening the phone, then the screen might be messed up (LCD & touch screen). Replacing the screen should be a final solution after trying the other solutions mentioned above by others.

So what you can do to use your phone is connect the earphones, and you can at least answer calls... you can either mute your phone or leave it as it is, then you answer & end calls you push the middle button from the earphones and decline with the plus or minus. Hope this helps...
I was in voice activation. the it took me to the ist page, was giving me a comand that . It will not even let me turn off the phone. nowsaid slice to unlock, i did it but nothing happened.now i got amessage that the phone is disable. What can i do?

What you have to do is hold the sleep and home button for ten seconds and let go of the Home button but still keep holding the sleep button and your Phone should restart and when it does it goes a bit Black but just wait and it will be back to normal

Maybe caused by "Not enough storage", as i have experienced.
Go to Setting to check if you have enough storage, and if not delete something to get more storage.

Just do a hard reset HOLD THE OFF BUTTON AND HOME BUTTON FOR SEVEN TO TEN SECONDS AND THE SCREEN WILL GO BLACK AND THEN SHOULD TURN BACK ON and there you go!

Try'd hard reset but my phone is still frozen. Now its turning off and on. Any other ways to fix it.
This did not work for my phone and I have tried it 2x....
tried all of the above not working...
this dont work i have a notification froze on my screen too it will lock and unlock but hard reset WILL NOT WORK what else can i do and its not the touch sensors this phone is a iphone 7+ brandnew was working fine
But what if the home button isn't working? Then how you do it?

It looks like the hardware problem. Last time I met a problem just like yours, but luckily, it's the system problem, I restore my iPhone 6s using a software likely called FonePaw iOS System Recovery. And it worked! So, hope you can fix it.
