Hi,
Sounds as if you may have broken the backlight power feed wiring or perhaps have blown the backlight power feed fuse on the motherboard. Check that you haven't pinched any wiring with the screen frame etc.
If so it will not work until the backlights' power feed is restored
-If it is the fuse on the motherboard then perhaps the screen will work if it is disconnected from the motherboard and connected to another device, as long as the new device's ''video cable wiring ''connections are identical''''' with the original connections. Not just the number of wires or the type of connector but that the wires are used for the exact same function in the same location in the connector
