Turn off the laptop and disconnect the power cord.
Turn the laptop back on and press the F1 button repeatedly to access the BIOS menu.
The BIOS is built in software for the computer. For this fix we will just need to use it to disconnect the battery.
The battery needs to be disconnected to avoid electro-static discharge. This is static electricity from your body that can damage electronics.
