Harman Kardon Esquire Mini Speaker Replacement

Ir al paso 1This guide will help you replace the Harman Kardon Esquire Mini speakers. In case the speakers are not working or there is a buzzing sound and you need to replace it, this guide will help you to do so. A plastic opening tool and PH0 screwdriver will be needed to accomplish this guide.

Using the plastic opening tool, to open the back panel of the device. Start on the longer sides to avoid bending the metal frame at the plug ports.

Push down on the plastic opening tool, and push the back panel, repeat this for the 4 sides of the device.

Using the PH0 screw driver, remove the 7.5 mm screws by turning in a counter-clockwise direction. There are 6 screws on the front panel.

Remove all of the 7.5 mm screws, by repeating the same step above. It is not necessary to remove the stand-leg.

After unscrewing the 7.5 mm screws, just lift the plastic and you will see the motherboard.

Pull out the motherboard by removing 4 screws around the perimeter of the motherboard. Keep in mind the wires still attached to the speakers, so pull gently.

Remove the speaker by using the plastic opening tool. Apply a gentle upward force to remove it.
speaker spec is 4Ohm 2w, 27mm diameter, 12.7mm Hight
Model number is F27N4A , L00010-0001001, 019G, L4G4
Where I can find it? I looked for it on Ali Express but it is no longer available.

but, must 27mm or 28mm unit. not 30mm or 24mm unit.

Could I use 8Ohm instead of 4Ohm
These little Speakers can be repaired without replacing the Speakers. First take out the driver and I use Gorilla glue, tahe the glue and squeeze a little amount on a piece of plastic or cardboard, before applying the glue to the surround, make sure you lift the center up over the tear apply glue the 4 places and readjust the Speaker to make sure it's centered., Wait about 45 to 60 minutes to allow the glue to set up, then using a toothpick apply glue around the entire year, be careful not to use too much glue. Before putting it back together, turn on the Speaker and play music at about half volume and if the voice coil is not rubbing, then in about an hour, re-assemble the Speaker, It will sound great, if y follow my instructions, good luck and if you have any questions please contact me anytime.

I just opened mine, it looks like one side overheated and melt the plastic around the speaker.

Seems to be a big flaw in this methodology -the wire attached to the left speaker loops through the circuit board via the speaker hole and is soldered to the top of the circuit board. This prevents the circuit board from being moved more than a couple of mm as the wire has no play in it.
I have searched the internet and I still can't find the spare part, there is no part number either, is it true that it is 27mm? could someone help?

I have an Esquire Mini with blown speakers as well, it took me half a day of looking around the World Wide Web and I can say, I finally found it, it is from China as anything else would be, but it’s cheap in comparison to a new Esquire Mini.
