Depending on what A series most are Ribbon flexes with a bracket behind them. Unfortunately the higher end models are built into the frame with a new screen in a lot of cases. The good news if you decide to go the screen route if your model is applicable you normally get a new battery with the deal too!

I always recommend (as crazy as it sounds) going to EBAY and typing the exact model for your laptop and any part numbers for the pieces you need if you can find them. Working at a repair shop that’s the easiest way to get a good outer lcd cover replacement for a good price that matches.
