IT IS EITHER A BACK LIGHT LED. OR A BAD CAPACITOR ON THE POWER SUPPLY BOARD. IF YOUR LUCKY YOU MAY SEE THE CAP. TOP PUFFED UP COMPARE TO OTHER CAPS. ON THAT BOARD. IF YOU DON’T KNOW HOW TO TEST THE LED’S EMAIL ME AND I CAN WALK YOU THROUGH IT IF YOU HAVE A METER. WHEN CHECKING THE LED’S AND YOU HAVE TO REMOVE THE SCREENS MARK THE SCREENS SO YOU PUT IT TOGETHER RIGHT THERE IS SOME TIMES 3-5 SCREENS THEY ONLY GO ONE WAY. GOOD LUCK SEAMORE seamore1367@gmail.com

how old is it if its say 4-5 years old its dirty and needs cleaned you can start out buying a can of air from best buy or walmart any place has can air. and blow out under the keys. then with the unit off push all the buttons a few times and do another blow out and see if that helps if not you will need a new key board which you can get of ebay for about $20.00 bucks and there not hard to change just a few screws from the bottom of the unit and one ribbon cable is all. they do hide the screws there will be some where the battery goes and some times they hide them under the boots just go slow you can do it good luck

well it could be a bad battery but i don’t think so if you have been doing a lot of short charges the battery has a memory and only remembers the short charges so you need to run it so it wont even turn on anymore and if you can get the back off you will see the battery it is flat and about 5-6 inches long find a paper clip or a piece of wire with bare ends on it and where you see a red and black wire together short them out do this 2 -3 times then put your back on and charge it for 12 hours and that should fix it this is called retraining your battery if this works from now on no short charges at least 6 hours at a time if you see any bubbling on the battery that means the battery is bad good luck tech.

I have worked in electronics for 35 years if the boards have not fixed it then it is a led. It is kinda easy to find what led is out if it uses the small led’s and not the long tube’s there like a very small florecent lights. But you will have to dissemble the whole tv. When doing this there are about 4-5 deferent screens after you take the bezel lose do not forget how they go back in or you have a miss on your hands so mark them some how. But you use a 9 volt battery with a couple jumper wires and a led is a diode so it has a plus end and a ground end you touch your jumper wires to each end of just one led at a time if it lights it good don’t look right at the led cuzz there very bright and will blinde you for a while or if you have a meter put it on the diode check as you check the leds the meter has enough power to light up the led there are a lot of them so i takes awhile. When you find the bad one if you can solder just make a small jumper wire ans solder that in place of the led and your good to go....

i been fix electronics for 35 years your heading in the right direction with the tcon but you need to resit all the ribbon cables and then there are conductive tabs all around the bezel (frame) that can do this also. be very careful taking the bezel of. i use some very fine sand paper or them green scratcher pads and slightly buff then they are silver in color and all around the frame good luck

well the display is called a digitizer in the digitizer is mercury as the crack get worst the mercury is stating to short out the chip that feeds the digitizer so your kinda screwed digitizers are very hard to change and cost about $15-$30 bucks if you can find a used one of ebay or else where sorry about the bad news good luck

if you have a home pc or laptop you can use the same type of cable that you charge the phone with if it is the kind that has a usb end on it but not all usb cables transfer data they only charge the phone so you have to make sure it is a charger and data cable and plug it in to your pc and open computer and you will see the phone there and the pictures will be in a dcmi file most off the time or just in pictures from there open the file and transfer them in to your picture folder on the pc good luck

the battery’s in these units are junk. you take it apart very easy just 2 screws and you will see the battery it is in like tin foil very small. you can find battery’s like this in old cell phones / bluetooth headphones / many small electronics that are rechargeable. there is a red and a black wire . if you can solder just solder in the new one if you can solder just bare the wires and twist the red together and same with the black and put some black tape over them so the don’t short out. charge for a good 8 hours and your set good luck
