Hi - I have this same issue. I've already replaced the ink cartridges with genuine HP ones, cleaned and re-seated the print-head and its connections, attempted a semi-full reset (on the rare occasion I could reach the service menu) and checked the battery - all with no improvement.
Looking at the connection pads on the hidden side of the print-head's rear PCB, it looks like the contacts have eroded where the springs push into them - not a great design - so I'm thinking I need to replace the print-head now.
Do I need to get a new print-head with setup cartridges, or will just a new print-head suffice? I'm seeing different opinions - and the bundle with setup cartridges is much more expensive, so I'd rather not pay that if I don't have to...
