If you've disconnected the battery then obviously you know how to get inside. First step is to make sure you're getting power from the AC wall plug to the motherboard. If you take a look at the [guide|131615|HP Chromebook 11 G5 DC Charging Port Replacement Guide|new_window=true], you'll see where the charging port connects to the motherboard. You'll need a voltmeter to verify that you're getting about 19.5 volts between the red and black wires. (Note, that's just a presumption on my part; I don't have schematics to verify).

The arrows point to the pins you should check; red for positive, black for negative. Once we know whether you're getting power to the motherboard, we can go from there.
