Ended up sanding the base of the trigger, cut a few slanted grooves into it, used metal epoxy putty and a piece of aluminum that i cut to size as a replacement pillar, worked perfectly for 3-4 years on from then, the tension plate wore out eventually, swapped in 1 from a cheapo mouse, worked perfectly too (ps. Cheap tension plates for switches are super light, makes a proper mouse feel like a hair trigger). After all the modding, the kone was still worth it, 1 of the best feeling mice ever made.
