Usually it’s corroded or dirty contacts. If they are only dirty, You can clean them with a small screwdriver or Q-Tip and some cleaning alcohol (Don’t drink! Just apply to contacts!)

Or you can change the contact-plates yourself. There is even a very good video on this on YT (https://youtu.be/vxvehGQG2YQ).
