I really would not recommend this route. The extra equipment you have to buy, the time it takes to separate the broken glass from the lcd, the risk of damaging the LCD while separating it, and the time it takes to remove the old glue from the lcd is not worth it. After that you also have to worry about permanent bubbles of the new glue between the new glass and the lcd.
