I recently dropped my 3rd generation iPad and cracked the screen. I was considering attempting a repair, but I also noticed that it no longer will connect to wifi. It will recognize wifi signals but if you ask it to connect it says it is unable to connect. I am wondering what component is likely to be damaged to cause these symptoms? If it were something to do with the antenna then I would think it would not even recognize the available signals. What else does that leave, the wifi chip?
