It cycles this loco on and off about every ten seconds or so. I replaced the battery but it's behavior hasn't changed. Any ideas as to what's going on?

I bought an iPod that won't turn on. When plugged into a firewire charger, the Apple icon comes on briefly then switches to the battery warning icon.
