There's a golden metal cap missing on this LVDS socket. It should be soldered on each side of the connector. You can salvage on on a dead board or buy the complete connector off ebay. First check the backlight fuse on the logic board it's a small component identified with a F or a P or a white dot on it. The fuse may be blown opening the backlight circuit so no power to the LCD. Check also all the LVDS connector pins with a microscope and verify if any is desoldered or damaged. Is it a liquid damaged machine ?
