This guide will provide step-by-step instructions for how to remove the battery on an HP Envy x360 13-y013cl laptop. Be aware of any swelling in the battery as there may be an increased risk of combustion. Before starting the guide, ensure to power off the device, drain the battery to 0 percent, and disconnect the power source.

    • Flip laptop upside down to expose the back panel.

    • Remove all 7.84 mm screws (x8) using a T5 head screwdriver.

    • Use a plastic opening tool to remove the back panel.

    • Use a JIS #0 screwdriver to remove the five 4.2 mm screws that secure the battery.
