Background Information
The Asus Chromebook C300M DB01 was released in May of 2014 by Asus. Asus headquartered in Taipei, Taiwan while the manufacturing process takes place in China. The Chromebook comes equipped with an HDMI port, headphone jack, SD card reader, two USB ports, and an AC power adapter. The laptop runs on google’s own Chromebook operating system known as “Chrome OS”.
For a budget laptop the processing power provided by the intel Celeron N2830 dual core processor is very capable. It also comes equipped with a large 13.3” screen and a larger than normal touchpad. It comes with a 16 GB of solid state memory, 2 GB of RAM, and an Intel graphics card.
To identify the Chromebook as a C300M DB01 there is a label on the back with the model number. There are no recalls of the Chromebook and it remains one of the most popular budget laptops on the market.
