Background
The HP Envy 17-J013CL was released in 2012 before HP revamped their Pavilion series with the ENVY name. The most noticeable aspects of the laptop are the Beats sound system along with the 17.3-inch diagonal display that supports up to 1600x900 resolution.
The HP Envy 17-J013CL has a sleek casing with enough bulk to it for a non-flimsy appearance. The laptop has a TrueVision HD Webcam along with a HP SimplePass fingerprint reader integrated in the laptop. The Envy 17 contains Windows 8 installed as its operating system.
After 2012, HP discontinued the Envy series by renaming their Pavilion brands to the ENVY series.
