Spilled Tea Years Ago; Phantom Trackpad
Some years ago I spilled tea on my trackpad, and ever since my trackpad has been essentially non-functional. It will right and left click, dart around the screen, and select large quantities of text all without my input. I can still move the mouse around myself, but I'm in constant battle with the phantom controlling the trackpad (and it usually has enough control that I can't do much).
I've gotten around this by using a mouse and turning on the accessibility function that ignores the trackpad if a mouse is plugged in. To truly fix this issue though, do I need to replace the trackpad or is there some screw I can adjust or some software I can reflash? All these years later I'd like to actually address the real issue now.
Thank you! Any input is helpful.
