Camera stuck on "Connecting Computer" Screen

Hi,

Try removing the battery for a short while.

Also press and hold the On button with the main battery removed for about 30 seconds to further dissipate any power in the camera.

Reinsert the battery and see if it now operates normally

This may not work as the camera has a backup battery of some description which maintains the date & time, language and video output settings but supposedly no other setting. There is no information available online regarding how long the backup battery (usually non-user accessible) will last with the main battery disconnected.

If the above doesn't work you could try with the main battery removed, taping down the On button and leaving it for a few hours and then see if it works after reinserting the main battery (and removing the tape ;-)
