Con Huawei ampliando los límites de la fotografía de teléfonos, hemos decidido echar un vistazo dentro del P30 Pro. Cuando decimos vistazo, por supuesto significa que lo vamos a desmontar completamente. La Serie P parece favorecer la novedosa cámara plana, con alguna funcionalidad dirigida por inteligencia artificial. Enfoquémonos ahora en este desmontaje.

Pongamos el Huawei P30 Pro en perspectiva con una mirada a las especificaciones:

Pantalla OLED 6.47 con resolución FHD (2340 × 1080)

Sacamos el P20 Pro de antaño y lo colocamos al lado del último prodigio fotográfico de Huawei para algunas comparaciones rápidas:

El P30 Pro (izquierda inferior) es 3 mm más alto, 0.61 mm más grueso y un poquito menos ancho (0.5 mm) que su predecesor.

A pesar de que el botón de inicio y la grilla de altavoz auricular desaparecieron detrás de la pantalla, el P30 Pro es más alto.

Los botones de volumen y encendido siguen estando donde estaban el año pasado.

A lo largo del borde inferior del teléfono vemos los restos del puerto USB-C mientras que los cuatro orificios del micrófono en un lado, que reflejan los del altavoz en el otro, se reducen a uno solo para dejar espacio para la bandeja de la tarjeta SIM.

No worries. That’s a hole for the top microphone. And you did not damage that either since it is installed at an angle like the micrphone on the bottom (step 9). Everything should still work fine.

Al comenzar nuestro desmontaje, notamos una grieta extremadamente ajustada entre el marco y el vidrio trasero. apenas perceptible a simple vista.

Con un poco de calor, el iSclack y una púa de apertura, logramos cortar el adhesivo de la tapa trasera.

Por supuesto, la tapa trasera está hecha de vidrio para
aumentar la clasificación de fragilidad del dispositivohacer posible la carga inalámbrica.

Nos equipamos con la Punta de Destornillador de Precisión y la punta de Phillips de nuestro Set de Destornilladores Mako, que es (advertencia de spoiler) la única punta que necesitamos hasta el final de este desmontaje. Con esto, estamos satisfechos.

Lo próximo en salir es la bobina de carga inalámbrica conectada a la tapa de la placa madre, que también lleva algunas antenas y un cable

La bobina de carga no solo carga el teléfono, pero también funciona en reverso para cargar tu ratón, rasuradora eléctrica o cepillo de dientes. No es broma.

Parece que para el 2019, la carga inversa está volviéndose un equipamiento estándar en los teléfonos líderes.

Con el teléfono totalmente abierto, nos dirigimos directamente a las cámaras. Lo primera que sale es el módulo de cámara estilo periscopioque se dice que hace posible un zoom de 50x.

Un momento: parece que este módulo no se usa para hacer zoom entre 1x y 5x, sino que solo entra en juego después de zoom 5x.

El P30 Pro tiene cinco cámaras en total. Comenzamos en la parte superior izquierda: una ultra ancha angular de 20 MP, una gran angular de 40 MP con la cámara Time-of-Flight al lado, la telefoto de 8 MP (con un 50x zoom) y, por supuesto, en la parte superior derecha, se encuentra la cámara frontal con un impresionante 32 MP.
There is a shielding clip over the connector for the top back camera connector, it seems the planned removal procedure is to slide it towards the bottom of phone - freeing it from the top mounting thingy.
Before the next person stumbles over that and lifts the pad like me ^^'
If you lift the pad for that top mounting thingy: some super glue should be fine, according to the schematics I found, the pad isn't connected to anything and the spring contact right next to it seems to be GND - so as long as the other mounting thingy isn't a signal or power connection (which wouldn't make sense), it shouldn't be too bad if the newly glued-on mounting thingy touches that spring contact.
Will try to remember reporting back if that works out in the end - but waiting for replacement parts right now.

Con el tour de cámara finalizado, hacemos zoom e incrementamos el detalle de la placa madre.

Esta pieza compacta de circuitos electrónicos viene en pilas múltiples. Además de usar (lo más probable) placas de circuitos impresos de múltiples capas, esta misma placa madre está formada por dos circuitos impresos colocados uno encima del otro. ¡Saludos a ti, tercera dimensión!

¿Recuerdas esa rejilla de altavoz auricular que faltaba en la parte frontal de este teléfono? Eso es gracias a la "Tecnología de Pantalla Acústica" que funciona como un altavoz de vibración.

La parte móvil de este módulo consiste de una bobina con una imán en el medio. Esta acoplada con la parte que vibra la pantalla, que está pegada a la parte trasera de la pantalla.

No lo confundas con el motor de vibración convencional para alertar, que esta montada en el marco de metal justo al lado.

En camino al sensor de huella digital, pescamos el puerto USB-C conectado a un cable de interconexión largo.

Si optas por cargar de forma inalámbrica, el desgaste por uso de este puerto se reduce considerablemente, pero cuando falla, está buenos saber que sale separadamente de la placa hija y el lector de tarjeta SIM?

Estamos todos a favor de una mayor modularidad de componentes. Esto hace que las reparaciones sean más rápidas que si las comparamos con la línea nueva de Galaxy S10 con sus puertos soldados.

Finalmente alcanzamos el sensor de huellas digitales montado muy cerca al borde inferior del teléfono. ¿Cuál es el largo de pulgar máximo para poder desbloquear el teléfono cómodamente?

El sensor de huella digital es el mismo escáner óptico Goodix GM185 como se ve en OnePlus 6T, el Xiaomi Mi 9 y el Vivo Nex S.

La batería viene con útiles lengüetas de extracción, previamente vistas en el Mate 20 Pro.

Si bien las lengüetas etiquetadas "1" y "2" son algo inútiles (no las confundas con las lengüetas adhesivas), la número 3 ayuda a sacar la celda de energía de la caja.

Seguimos con la pantalla donde encontramos la segunda mitad del módulo de altavoz auricular con vibrador pegado a la parte trasera de la pantalla mientras luchamos contra el adhesivo.

Similar a la tapa trasera, la grieta entre el marco y la pantalla es prácticamente inexistente, y los bordes ligeramente curvados de la pantalla no ayudan tampoco. Estamos bastante seguros de que esta pantalla está condenada después de todo el calor, el corte y los esfuerzos a los que se la ha sometido.

Las fuertes tiras adhesivas entre el marco y la pantalla nos ofrecen una gran resistencia como el hombre araña tratando de volver a ensamblar un bote.

Habiendo terminado con el P30 Pro, nos centramos en las cosas importantes:
-
Un dispositivo cerrado herméticamente pegado con la más mínima astilla de espacio para la entrada.

Un interior repleto de ingeniosa tecnología óptica como una cámara de periscopio y un sensor de huellas digitales en pantalla
-
Una batería de tamaño extra con algunas lengüetas para sujetar el pegamento.
-
Y una pantalla alta con el altavoz del auricular pegado a su parte posterior.
-
Teniendo todo en cuenta, es hora de ver de cerca la calificación.
-
- Un solo destornillador Phillips es todo lo que necesitamos para manejar los tornillos.
- La mayoría de los componentes son modulares y se pueden reemplazar de forma independiente, a excepción de la mitad del altavoz del auricular.
- El reemplazo de la batería es posible, si estás dispuesto a luchar a través del pegamento.
- Un vidrio muy pegado tanto por delante como por detrás significa un mayor riesgo de rotura y dificulta el inicio de las reparaciones.
- Las reparaciones de la pantalla requieren mucho desmontaje mientras se combate el adhesivo resistente (parte posterior, batería y pantalla).

Orange flex looks like grounding flex. It would be nice to see what is other side of that part.
I accidentally poked the sim tool in the microphone instead of the sim tray. It still works, but i’m worried i may have compromised the water resistance… Does anybody have an idea wether or not I did?
No worries, neither the microphone nor the rubber sealing can be damaged by inserting a SIM tool in the microphone hole.

Battery dimensions?
I installed a T-Max Huawei P30 Pro liquid screen protector. I never installed a liquid screen protector before. The kit seemed quite decent. After succesfully installing it, it says to rub off the excess glue with an alcohol wipe which I did. Had some extra glue on the edge of my phone left. The problem is that I noticed some black rubbery thing coming off as well. I think it's the adhesive of my phone. I had to cut it off with my scissors. What's the chance that I ruined my P30 Pro's waterproofness?
Hi, kinda curious how so much alcohol got to the back to losen the adhesive there. This probably won’t affect the water/dust resistance in normal every day usage. According to Huawei’s footnote* to the IP68 rating I’d suggest to not submerge it anyway and avoid under water photography ;)
*HUAWEI P30 Pro is rated IP68 for splash, water, and dust resistance under IEC standard 60529 and was tested under controlled laboratory conditions. Splash, water, and dust resistance are not permanent conditions and resistance may decrease over time with normal use. Do not attempt to charge a wet HUAWEI P30 Pro. Warranty does not cover liquid damage.

Like the comment of the person before me I am interested particularly in the antennas used. Do you have any more information from when you did the breakdown? I have been told by Huawei that a 4x4 MIMO is used but they couldn’t give me anymore information, manufacturer? part number specifics? Is the GPS antenna separate? If so what is it and where is it physically situated? This has been puzzling me for awhile now would really love anything you can add
Yes, there is a vapor chamber between the display and the frame. See updated last picture of step 12, the vertical copper element.
I hear some rattle sound when shake my p30 pro. Comes near camera, top half of back.
Camera and everything works fine, is this normal?
Is that screen construction is waterproof enough? My p30 pro is soak on 20cm water in 5 minutes before I know it that is phone is not waterproof anymore (since I bought it second hand.). I do first Aid for water damage phone using rice, Silica. The phone is normal. However After 3 days the screen phone is going glitch and greenish. I’ve done with disassembly phone. I need to know if there any moisture left in display amoled itself.
New batteries should already have those pull tabs pre-installed. If you want to fix your current battery you can use regular double-sided adhesive tape or those iPhone adhesive strips.
What is in charge for wifi and Bluetooth? Is there a chip or antenna?
my “movement sensor” is broken after my phone felt.. My compass, accelometer and gyroscope seem not working.. Are these all related? Where are they located? on the motherboard or can they be replaced? Thank you very much!
Is there any way you can fix a non displaying huawei p30 pro?
Very useful. Great job! I need to know what i need to check if the device is showing -32C degrees and constantly pop up a message that the temp is low and might damage the phone and could switch off to prevent it.
I changed the display /new one was with frame/ and i had to move some pats to the new housing. Everything went ok despite the fact i damaged the orange cable from Step 4.
Could this be the problem or i should look somewhere else?

I replaced the screen of my p30 pro but when i receive a call i hear the caller very weak.is it necessary to glue the speaker to the screen?is that the problem?
Did the new screen come with the counterpart for the structure-borne driver already installed (it’s the part marked L2a 931 in this picture. If not you need to transfer and glue it firmly into place on the new display.
Also, make sure there is no debris between this part and the actual structure-borne driver that could affect the sound ( the driver is the part in the bottom of the same picture).

After switching to a new display, my wi-fi connection is a little weaker than before, but especially the bluetooth range has decreased very much, only half a meter guarantees a fluent music transmission. Do you know what antenna or cable might be the reason for this and what should I purchase to try to fix it? Would appreciate any hint!
Hey Guys, I have a P30 Pro that is not doing any loud speaker sound (so no audible ring sound, music, youtube sound, call on loud speaker), I tried replacing the loudspeaker module but it didn’t work (I will try ordering another loudspeaker to try again, don’t know if the first was working), also tried ordering the daughterboard (with the CHIP) as it looks like it has some kind of filter for the audio right under the conector under the armor (or am I wrong?) but the board came without the armor and anything soldered there.
Any advice on what to test, the audio signal come by the big flat cable? Maybe trying to replace it too?
Already done software reset and even downgrade using huawei software.
Don’t know what else I can try to fix it.

Very good article, thank you. I dissembled the phone and replaced the sim card reader and antenna hoping it would now read my sim again. This wasn't the fault it seems. Would it perhaps be the motherboard?
