Background
The Sony Cyber-shot W series cameras were an entry-level camera that featured a CCD sensor. The first camera in this series, the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W1, was released in 2004.
Identification
The model will usually be printed somewhere on the body, otherwise it can be located on the label on the bottom of the camera. The model name will contain the prefix "DSC" (standing for digital still camera). The model will then contain the letter 'W' followed by the model number (for example, DSC-W330).
