Computer Screen is Freezing

The computer screen is unresponsive, and looks frozen.

An App is Causing Freezing

In order to close an app, open the task manager by pressing ctrl + alt+ delete. If any of the apps are not responding, click the 'end task' button to close the software.

Computer Needs to Restart

Hold the power button to completely close the computer. Wait a few seconds, then turn the computer back on.

Screen is Broken

Computer is Overheating

The computer is making loud noises from the fans, and it is heating up very quickly. This could cause you to restart your computer throughout the day in order to bring the temperature down.

Fans/Exhaust Ports are Blocked

Make sure to keep your computer in an open space(on top of a clean desk) to ensure that the exhaust ports are not being blocked which could cause the computer to overheat easily

Dusty Fan/Exhaust Ports

If the computer is overheating despite it not being used as intensely, try to find the fans or the exhaust ports and clean the dust off. The buildup can cause the fan to not work properly which would both cause loud noises from the blockage and the computer to heat up easily.

Old Software

Ensure that your computer is up to date in software, if not this could cause your computer to put in extra work while trying to do simple tasks which would cause it to heat up. This can be done by going into the system settings and checking for any updates.

Fan Needs to be Replaced

Computer is Lagging or Freezing

The computer is freezing or randomly crashing, computer is displaying the Blue Screen of Death.

Computer is Running a Faulty App

Search “windows memory diagnostic tool” on your computer, the computer will generate a memory report.

Hardware is Damaged

Visible damage to the computer may be impacting the components such as the RAM.

Computer has the Wrong Memory Part

(4 GB DDR4-2133 SDRAM (1 x 4 GB)) If the memory part is incorrect, the computer may not have sufficient memory to function properly

Memory Card is not Installed Properly or Needs to be Replaced

Computer Audio is Distorted

The computer is unable to properly emit sound from the speakers or the sound is staticky

Speakers are Blocked

Move any objects that are potentially blocking the speakers and keep your computer in an open space that way the sound can be projected clearly.

Speakers are Dusty

If the speakers are muffled, make sure to check if there is no dust blocking them. If dust is blocking them, make sure to clean them.

Speakers are Not Up to Date

If your computer is not up to date, then this may cause the speakers to be muffled. Make sure to update the audio and speaker connections in the settings feature on your computer.

Speakers are Broken

Computer Components Unable to Function

The computer produces an increase in Windows errors or “blue screens” when you turn on the power

Laptop is Not Starting Up

If the laptop is not booting up properly try shutting down your computer and disconnecting all devices connected to the computer. Then, restart the computer and uninstall any programs that are unnecessary.

Computer Produces an Unstable System

If the computer is malfunctioning or having difficulties doing simple tasks, make sure components are properly installed such as the RAM, graphics cards, and CPU as well as any add-in cards you have.
