Left speaker stopped working after screen replacement

For some reason my left speaker stopped working after replacing my steam deck 64gb screen with the anti-glare one. I tried disconnecting & reconnecting the audio & speaker cables. Any idea what else I could try?

You need to take more care with the cable plug. Try again. Submit a photo if you believe that you have damaged something during the repair.

So I attempted a speaker replacement but still no audio in the left speaker with the new one. I don't believe anything is damaged but if so, it would be the audio cable correct? And if the audio cable is damaged, I will need an entirely new motherboard?
