Hi @jcrosstown ,

It means that there is a charging problem or a problem with the battery charge being too low.

Try removing the battery and then reinserting it and check if that resolves the problem. Here’s the ifixit Reemplazo de la batería del Motorola Moto E5 Play guide that may help with this.

Use a strong light and a magnifying glass to check that the phone’s charge port is clear and not obstructed with anything that may be preventing a good electrical connection or that stops the charger cable being inserted correctly. If there is any debris in the charge port enclosure, use a vacuum cleaner to try and suck it out. Do not use a metal pin or probe as this may damage the pins or cause electrical problems in the phone.

If the charge port seems to be clear and OK, check that the charger/charger cable works OK by either using it to charge another compatible device or trying a different known working compatible charge/charger cable and see if that works OK and that the phone begins to charge.

If still no good then try replacing the battery. Replacement batteries are available online. Just search for Moto E5 Play GK40 battery to find suppliers that suit you.

I have an Android a30s and I get a yellow triangle with a plug-in sign when I'm charging my battery what does that mean

@jackieclar34186 its either an issue with your charge port or your charging cable

If there was a way to actually post pictures I'm pretty sure this would be alot less confusing 😕

HMM I do see some crustiies inside of the port how would you go about cleaning it?

@falsepermit

The answer above describes what to do to try and clean it.

You can google anything and find the answer but I did google it and it means there is a problem with what you are charging with. Either the block you are using is too low in voltage or it's got some other problem and it's not getting a proper charge.

This is the only correct answer I found on Google. The one port on the backup charger was bad. Not the phone. THANK YOU!

Glad I could help!

Also check for debris or corrosion on the 3 gold-plated contacts on the battery. Mine had corrosion on the “+” contact.

From my experience, it is an indicator that you have absolutely no power and phone should be charged.

It means that the phones battery has been completely discharged. If you plug it to a laptop it will usually make it start charging again
