Why can’t I boot into windows with a new ssd
Hello, I’m trying to upgrade my grandmas HDD with an SSD and whenever I try to boot, it takes me straight to the bios/uefi . Am I doing something wrong? I have windows already pre installed and if you were wondering what the ssd is, it’s an 860 Evo 1TB. Please get back to me as soon as possible as I’d like to get it running it’s best.
Es esta una buena pregunta?

@aactech as a Windows guru, what do you suggest?

Hi @dabadabadokio ,
When in BIOS does it show that the SSD has been detected?
If not check the SSD connection to the motherboard.
Did you make the SSD bootable when you installed the OS on it?

I am not sure how to get to the boot options since I’m more familiar with desktop bios rather than laptop bios

Hi Noah,
You stated ". . . it takes me straight to the bios/uefi " so you are already there.
