Screen popped free of frame

After a three foot drop the screen popped free from the frame along both sides. The phone is otherwise fine; it was in a case, the screen isn’t cracked, it seems to be fully functional. I’d like to avoid a screen replacement if possible. What are my options here?

The way these screens are designed they just clip in on the side. They have two screws at the bottom and that’s it. As long as the top portion of the screen is still sitting correctly, it’s possible with a little force, you could get the screen to pop back into place. If you are able to just push the screen back into place, you shouldn’t need to press on the sides very hard.

If you do this correctly, you should hear a pop sound as the screen sits back into place. If you are timed about pressing on your screen, a local repair shop should be able to get the screen back into place. The only thing that would keep the screen from sitting back in place is if it’s separating from the plastic bezel around the screen.

To be safe and avoid cracking the screen when push it back, you can unscrew the two bottom screws and take out the screen and then put it back in and beginning at the top of the screen, middle and at last bottom.
