Well, there are quite a few around in this forum who would be able to replace the broken connector, myself included, but much depends on where you are. Shipment costs back and forth might be a pretty important factor in the overall repair economy. Pictures confirm it’s a straightforward repair, no missing pads at all apparently.

I've broken the connector the exact way when I forget to put the battery screws on and turn the MacBook over.

@benjamen50 Ouch..that was bad luck, but I believe we all have our share of it, hurry, sometimes overconfidence..pretty sure you managed to fix it though ;)

I know this is about a year old, but I just had the same bad luck! I live in the San Francisco Bay Area. Anyone out here that could help with a quick repair?

does anyone know where to get the replacement battery connector part?

Hey what's up? Just wondering if you ever found the replacement part that you needed to fix this issue as I'm having the exact same issue with mine...

Thanks!

Very repairable! If you can get the connector and have the skills to solder you should be able to do it your self.

You’ll first need to remove the pin sections that are still soldered on, using some solder wick should clean off the solder so you can first tack the connector in its proper placement and then carefully solder down the other pins.

Is there any possibility of remounting the original component that popped off or is it only feasible to pull the old pins off and mount a new component?

- de

The problem is the pins are in the shape of a U so one side is soldered to the logic board and the other is within the plastic shell.

When you snap the connector off you broke the pins so half is still on the logic board and the other piece is in the shell.

This is not a hard fix once you get a new connector and have the ability to solder.

Does anyone know where the connector can be purchased?
