Wii remote cursor not appearing on the screen

So, I have bought a Wii remote, and it’s problem, is that the cursor isn’t appearing on the screen, when I’m moving the remote, or it appears rarely. I thought that the problem is in the sensor bar, so I’ve tried another remote of mine, and it is working well, and now I’m thinking that the problem is in the remote itself. What can be of fault? I think that the problem is in the receiver. If so, what can be done for resolving this problem. Is it possible somehow to clean that receiver, or maybe I can replace the receiver which stands at the top of the remote?

If your Nintendo Wii Remote’s cursor is not appearing where it should or is not appearing at all, see the Nintendo Wii Remote Cursor Isn’t Where It’s Supposed to Be problem page for possible problems and solutions.

The sensor bar includes some infrared LEDs, and the Wiimote has a very small camera in the end that is super low resolution, it just looks for two IR dots.

My recommendation is to open the controller and look for dust or corrosion.

I've got rid of that controller like half a year ago, but it seemed like the IR sensor on mine was dead, and the single thing which I could do, was to replace the sensor, which I wasn't willing to do by myself...

Maybe your Wii Remote ran out of battery. This happens to me.

Batteries work in all other remote's

This usually happens when the battery is dying, but does not happen to all remotes. I have this problem too, except it does not appear in menus very often and it does not appear in games at all. When it does appear, it looks glitchy and goes to different spots randomly. Go to the options and you will find an option in the settings called sensor bar, then sensitivity. If it does not appear or the dots are bigger, or there is more then one dot, there is probably too much light. Try turning off the lights. If it still happens, replace the batteries. It worked for me.

Inspect the controller board. Remote controllers are many times dropped and abused. The motion chip contacts may need to be resoldered. Seek u-tube for step-by-step instructions.
