My Beats Studio wireless won't charge

My Beats Studio wireless won't charge I have tried resetting them connected to power and not connected to power I've tried 3 different cords none of which have work I have done a bunch of research trying to figure out how to fix it. I can't use my adapter cord because that doesn't work and it never has worked but since I had Bluetooth I never really need it to use it. I am very disappointed about my Beats Studio wireless not working anymore because I've only had them since Christmas 2016.

Experiencing a similar issue. In my case, the micro usb port has become worn and won't charge from any cord but the one that shipped with them. Even that, requires some delicate positioning to get the cord just right. Wonder if anything can be done to repair worn micro usb ports?

I'm having the same problem when i try to charge them its not lighting the squares white which means they are charging all its doing is a slow red flash on the last led square

Does anyone know how I charge my studio beats? They are not wireless. They have a regular stereo Jack that you plug a cord into. And the other end plugs into my phone. There is a switch on one side we're a little red light comes on. I didn't know how they stayed charged all this time? Suddenly the light will not come on and there is no USB port anywhere on the left or right side. How they worked all this time is a mystery. I just thought they were playing directly from my phone, but evidently they have to be charged somehow or other? I am baffled. If someone could help me out I would appreciate it. I have googled a dozen questions and all they show me are wireless beats.

I forgot to post my email address. I am not sure if it shows up on here? And don't know if I can log back on to here or not. My email is preview1953@gmail.com. thanks.

I have the exact same problem.. purchased studio Wirelesss for $500 in December of 16' and they stopped working or receiving a charge in May of 17' I was gutted as they were great sound. for several months now they will not turn on at all not even flash a light at me and they will NOT accept a charge with any charging device. :( any one managed to fix this problem without having to send them back to apple?

Update (11/07/2017)

I ordered a new battery for the beats studio wireless on ebay it arrived and I fitted the new battery and yes it worked! until the battery ran out and the beats still were not charging .. thats when i knew it was not the battery but the charging port. so i ordered a new charging port from ebay fitted it and yes it worked! the beats now charge everytime and work like new. approximate cost to fix was 70USD plus i had to buy a soldering iron and re wire the charging port myself which was not that hard I just watched a youtube video on exactly how to do it

If your Studio or Studio Wireless headphones aren’t charging properly or you’re having difficulties with sound, try resetting your headphones.

  1. Reset
    1. Press and hold the power button for 10 seconds.
    2. Release the button.
    3. The Fuel Gauge LEDs will all blink white, followed by one blinking red.
    4. When the lights stop flashing, reset is complete.
    5. Your Studios will automatically power on after a successful reset.
  2. If you reset and you’re still having issues, try using another power source, a different cable, or try sound troubleshooting for headphones.

Its charging now as long as you have something heavy to push or hold the charger against the

Wireless Beats usb port.

I got the red light after I restarted it, now what do I do

- de

Just push it against the wall while charging that’s what I had been doing, now it’s charging fine...no problem anymore

I have found that you need to have the wire at a certain angle by wrapping the cable around the headphones and adjusting the position until the lights start to blink. but it only gets harder to do over time and it eventually stops charging.

Mine also stopped working. They were not used for some time so I charged them. All the lights were glowing. But when I connected them to my laptop is did not work. I then looked as some videos for fixing such a problem. The first video suggested that I simultaneously press the On/Off and the mute button, which is one on each headset, for two minutes. After that I connected it to my laptop and it worked. One thisng for sure is that you must change the headset first before you do this trick. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FY8xgef-...

I purchased my studio 3 wireless headphones not even a year ago, about 7 months. They were working fine, even this morning. However, I came home and plugged them to charge as the LED indicators were off. Plugging the headphones in usually lights them up and I can power on the headphones. However, when I plug them in, the LED indicators are very dim and steady. Then, they fade out to nothing. I can't even power them on. I can't even reset them. Nothing happens. Very disappointed.

I just ordered a AC/DC charger for my rechargeable razor. I sometimes can’t transfer files via a USB cord to my laptop. The reason that I state these supposedly unrelated comments: Because I think that it may be possible that you might have to change your charging cord. It sounds like what happened to me with my shaver. It just hadn’t been recharging and eventually died altogether. My Beats had a problem, but I simply held the power button in for a longer time and it started to work again, but it sounds like your headset is simply not charging at all. I hope that this helps. Even if it does not, I wish you much success. Please let us all know what you ultimately end up finding out or doing. Thank you.

Hello John. Thanks for replying.

This just happened last night my time (I am in Malaysia). They worked fine just that morning. Then I had to leave the house and powered everything off. Later, come back and power everything back on. What I described above occurred.

They still obviously work with the headphone cable. I had to get these for their Bluetooth capabilities as the laptop I'm on is very old and it's audio card hasn't worked in a few years. It used to belong to my wife. She got it in 2011.

One day I updated it to Win10 from Win7 and she said that the audio card stopped working then. Only can get audio via Bluetooth, hence these headphones. I, actually, wanted a pair of Audio Technicas, but they weren't Bluetooth-compatible.

I did some research last night and apparently there were cases where the charging port itself wore out and stopped charging.

The Bluetooth worked for me that morning. I went out, came back later, and no dice. Oh well, stuck with the wire for now.

Yeah. I actually wanted Audio Technica, but the laptop I was on didn't have a working sound card and could only get audio via Bluetooth. Now, I just got a new laptop and have to use the wire.

I had these 7 months before the charging port crapped out on me.

Beats is aware of the Worn Micro USB Problem and has tried to fix it in the Beats 3 without much success. They say that their Warranty covers replacement with proper receipts. It is a Worn Micro USB Port on the Headset side of the unit. As stated in other comments Light Manoeuvring or Bracing MAY be able to get the unit to charge but these are short term solutions that will fail over time. Replacement is the only solution. Point blank is that it is a major flaw in a pair of $250 MSRP headphones. After my second set in less then a year, with the same failed USB, I have gone to Bose.

I had this problem and I couldn't find anyone who answered the question in the way that was relevant to my situation. What happened to me was I took the side of the beats that has the charging port completely apart and found that red wires that connected the charging port to whatever eventually goes to the battery had snapped. I cant imagine how it happened seeing as they weren't exposed at all but it did. I was able to fix it by drilling a new hole in the middle part of the headphone to put the wires through and then twisting the wires together (make sure to strip the tips of them first) and finally hot gluing them together. The issue with having two wires is that you don't know which wire goes to the other. I would recommend just not applying the hot glue until you know that the wires will work.

I just bought my Beats Studio pros. They say they are charged and will turn on and connect to my phone when connected to a charger but the second I take it off the charger they don’t work. I have tried the factory reset already and that didn’t work and I have used 3 different chargers and nothing changes
