Hi there, my machine is leaking from the back, please can someone tell me where I can get these parts from. Many Thanks

dolce gusto mini me  leaking water from bottom. how to repair  thanks

    starlite23 - Contestar

Hi there, mine is leaking from the bottom, where can I get the parts from please.

    hayley953 - Contestar

The red arrows on the bottonm do not point to screws. It seems that they changed to a kind of plastic fasteners that I am unable to remove. Not without damaging them that is. Anyone knows about this change and - more important - how to loosen this parts.

    petrus bitbyter - Contestar

As far as I know they haven’t changed the model. As mentioned in the guide, the bottom doesn’t use screws, there the red arrows point to clips. It’s enough to carefully lift them using a spudger. If the bottom of your machine differs from the pictures in this guide, a picture might help figuring out what’s different

My problem was the sealing rubber was old and had become hard and brittle. Only found the whole connector-thing to buy online, but luckily didn't have to replace the whole thing, just used the small black rubber ring from it. Leak fixed. Now I just have to deal with the air in the water system that has gotten in while waiting for parts and so on… Really old piccolo machine.

    Solveig Lyby - Contestar

Be sure to remove air from the tubes otherwise an ertoe occurs. Red blinking light.

    André Snelting - Contestar

It mag help to grease the sealing rubber with acid-free vaseline. That solved my leakage.

Hi Joost

Thanks for the great guide. helped to quickly get into the Coffee Maker yesterday after it stopped working. Result: A Capacitor and a Resistor kicked the bucket. Replacing the ElCO is no problem as it is a fairly standard one and (more important): the values are printed on it :)

But i am not able to decipher the value of the resistor, as most of the color bands have faded away and the parts that are still visible are not clear enough to recognize the value... and since it is broken, i can't measure its value.

so i wonder: maybe you took some close ups of the PCB when doing this guide where the resistor R105 (one onnly two NON-smd resistors on the board near the inductor coil L100 (both located on the lower right side of the PCB). From what i can see form the Picture of Step 5 and 6, both our Coffee Makers use the same revision of the PCB. If so, i would kindly ask you to share them with me... a snapshot of that resistor with all it's bands visible would be enough :-)

Daniel Bittel - Contestar

Hi Daniel, Glad the guide was able to help you. I did take clear pictures of the pcb luckily, but i suck at decoding resistor values. Luckily the pcb is also available as a spare part, and the supplier has really clear pictures of it, so you should be able to decipher it yourself :)

Since i can't upload images to a comment as far as i can tell, please take look here: https://res.cloudinary.com/dtk4ybaqk/ima...

Hi! Do you know if i could order the needle from somwhere? Main got broken... And also how to Change it? Thank you!

Rell - Contestar

Hi, it depends on the exact model, but a good place to start would be erzatsteil. A quick search gives you that there are only three models available, so just find the right one for your model number at: (https://ersatzteildirect.de/advanced_sea...). The injector plates are sold seperately, and should cost you less than 12 euros (without shipping).

Luckily, replacing it is very easy. Take a look at this guide, it will tell you how: Cómo reparar la fuga de agua por el costado de las cápsulas

Joost Visser -

Hi Joost, very clear instructions, thanks. One small problem: the bolts in my machine look like Torx bolts, except that they have a little pin in the centre. That means that you need a Torx screwdriver with a hollowed out centre and I have no idea how I can get hold of those ...

As an afterthought: if scale on the connector assy is the most frequently occurring problem, I think that I'll just soak a handkerchief in a vinegar/water solution, put it on the connector and leave it overnight. See if that works.

Frank Teunissen - Contestar

Great tutorial, thanks! Would you happen to have a part number for the o-ring seal for the connector assembly?

Thanks!

Hello Joost. I see you have a dutch name. So maybe you could also answer me in dutch. I have problems with step 3 of your instruction. Which tool do I need to open it and remove the screw.

Dank, Hans

Hi Joost,

This article even helped me repairing the KP120. Well, it helped me opening it. Those 2 pesky clips on the bottom were holding me up quite a while…

Thanks!

Hi Joost

My EDG455.B Delonghi does not pump water into the machine (the little water flow pump is not working). I tried to connect it first to a 3v and then to a 9v battery to see if it is the pump or the circuit but the pump still didn’t work. However the magnet side of the wire connecting to the board felt warm/hot after having it connected to the 9v battery. Can you think of any resolution? Thanks in advance!

Matt - Contestar

Thank you! I just fixed my Dolce Gusto piccolo following these instructions. The water tank was leaking from the base, after opening it everything seemed fine. I cleaned it all but it was still leaking. I decided to put an extra fine in the bottom and now it does not leak anymore. Perhaps not the most professional of fixes, but it works now. Dankuwel meneer!

Pilar Gallego - Contestar

Hi, I am not having any leaking problems, but I do have a problem either with the pump or heater. My Genio 2 doesn’t stop vibrating even if I turn it off. And after getting my cup filled, water still flows onto my cup even though it has clicked. If I remove the water container from the Genio and put it back, the water flow stops, but the vibration doesn’t. I really hope you could help out.

PS: This happened after washing my Genio because there were a lot of ants. I have washed Mini Me and Drop before and didn’t encounter any problem.

Natasha Jean Cabuco - Contestar

Thank you so much for that, i was going to bin old Piccolo but gave it a go and i can enjoy coffee again! thanks!

Hi, my Mini Me stopped working. I did notice a water outage at the base but nothing that made me concerned much. However, I am not sure what the Spring at the rear is for (ie. what function it has) since I found it somehow dangling out and completely came off. When I plug to wall outlet, the top red button comest on for a couple of seconds, then becomes green for another second then completely switches off. Any ideas what’s going on please?

Many Thanks - Paul

Paul - Contestar

Hi Paul,

The first part of you question is simple. The spring that’s at the rear is used to clear the puncher that makes the hole in the capsules. It can get clogged, and the spring is the right diameter to clear it.

The other part of your question is more complicated, since it has probably nothing to do with leakage, but with an electronics problem. Unfortunately i can’t help you with the electronics themselves without having the device there to measure which component is failing.

Joost Visser -

Thanks so much, saved my Kp110 from landfill. Leaking badly but just needed cleaning up around the connector assembly, very easy to do.

davidmoir1 - Contestar

in my case the defect is not to start the pump. When the coffee maker is switched on, the red LED flashes when pressing it flashes green and heats the boiler, the lever held for a while then disarms but at no time does the pump start. I have already tested the pump by feeding it directly with 110V and it works. I just tested the NTC for coffee makers and heaters at ~ 20ºC, it's at 100k ohms, heating up or NTC I got to 1 Ohm and cooling past 100K Ohms. The NTC is working correctly, are these values OK? I measured the hfe of the triac (soldered on the plate) at the pump outlet and it looks good (0.577). The problem started because it was 110V and was connected to 220V.

Bonjour,
