Presiona la púa hacia la derecha y abajo desde la punta. Esto levantará el borde de la tecla. Asegúrate de no empujar la púa hacía la izquierda (hacía adentro, bajo la tecla) aún. Si empujas hacía la izquierda muy pronto terminará debajo del clip tijera

Una vez que la púa está acostada, empuja hacia el centro de la tecla. Sentirás algo de resistencia. Dobla la púa y el primer clip será liberado. Esto no requiere mucho esfuerzo
This procedure will definitely break the bottom clip. It should be picked along the top of the spacebar and gently wiggle the bottom part and slide it to the top, just like the opening procedure for other small keys.

Trabajando de arriba de la tecla ahora, repite el proceso para los otros 3 clips de la tecla. Cuando este todo listo, la tecla estará enganchada de la parte inferior y libre en la parte superior. Debes poder girar la tecla de forma vertical y levantarla casi sin resistencia.

Hej Katha, vielleicht hilft dir diese Anleitung weiter. Scroll da ein wenig nach unten, da scheint erklärt zu werden, wie du die Schiene (im besten Fall) wieder montieren kannst.

Nota los diferentes tipos de clips de la tecla. Los de la derecha en la foto deben ir en la dirección del trackpad, donde se acomodan en pequeños agujeros. Coloca la parte de abajo de la tecla y asegúrese de hacerlo sobre los agujeros

Puedes ver por la forma de los clips de la derecha porque debe sacar la tecla desde el lado superior. Si intentas sacarla desde el lado inferior, romperás los clips como yo hice en la parte inferior derecha de la foto

No te preocupes mucho sobre romper los clips. Mi barra espaciadora aún funciona bien después de romper 3 de los 8 clips en la confección de esta guía. Esperemos que con el conocimiento adecuado tengas más éxito.
The 2 clips in the lower side of the photo are broken from being removed. The pick was shoved in too hard and damaged them more than likely.
This may prove helpful. It takes a gentle touch, not shoving the pick in through the side.

Will this work for other keys on the keyboard? My “A” key has something stuck underneath it.
I’d use one of the many video guides on YouTube for that. The normal keys are easier than the space bar, but it’s basically the same; there are two clips at the top of the key that you can undo with a pick and two hooks at the bottom that allow you to remove the key once the clips are out.
What if I removed the butterfly level as well? Can I just glue the upper part with 2 small drops of glue? Where would be the best place? Was it glued before because it doesn’t pop in again.

The 2 clips in the lower side of the photo are broken from being removed. The pick was shoved in too hard and damaged them more than likely.

This applies for all butterfly clip types. So 2016 and 2017 MacBook Pro ranges, and 12” MacBook ranges from 2015-2016

Has anyone done the euro (Germany) Macbook Pro 2016 return key? Its the 180° turned L shaped one.
I have done several of other keys, however I am somewhat afraid of doing the return key. I dont know on which side the c shaped hooks are and on which side the L shaped hooks. If I start on the wrong side, I am likely going to break the key.
Does anyone have a picture of the underside of that key?
I was told at an apple store by their senior genius bar tech that the keys were designed to be removed with double sided adhesive on the top of the key attached to something for leverage, then you can lift the clips off, which makes sense. I have not had a chance to try it yet but it makes sense.

I did the same that you explain but the clip or the butterfly mechanism came off the keyboard base, also the transparent plastics that make it hold on the base. Is there a silver replacement for these translucent plastics?
