Background and Identification
Released in 2002, the Tivoli Audio PAL (Portable Audio Laboratory) is a radio designed by Henry Loss, a prominent American audio engineer. The PAL was designed to fill the gap in the consumer market for a high-quality, well-designed and affordable AM/FM radio. As an AM/FM radio, the iPAL comes with a single built in speaker, an integrated Metal Hydride rechargeable battery, and a mini-plug input for iPod or any other device that has a headphone output like a computer or portable DVD player.
A unique feature of the iPAL is its tuner dial, which makes it easy for users to find radio stations they want to listen to. The outputs and inputs of the radio are protected from the elements on the backside of the unit by rubber gaskets.
